Use the personal-contact records currently available to WhatsApp Web. Group records are excluded from this Contact Export source.

Chat List

Use individual contacts represented in your chat list. When available, the export can also include recent-message and read-status fields.

What the exported contact file can contain

Excel and CSV exports use clear columns. Chat List exports can include additional recent-chat context when it is available.

Phone Number: International-format contact number.
Country Code: Calling code derived from the phone number.
Country: Country or region inferred from the calling code.
Public Display Name: Publicly displayed name when available.
Saved Name: Name stored for the contact when available.
Is My Contact: Whether WhatsApp identifies the record as your saved contact.
Is Business: Whether WhatsApp currently identifies it as a business account.
Is Blocked: Current blocked status when it is available.
Read Status: Chat List context indicating the recent message state.
Last Message: Recent text preview from the Chat List source when available.
Last Message Type: Type of the recent Chat List message.
Last Message Time: Time associated with the recent Chat List message.

VCard exports use contact names and phone numbers to create a VCF file for compatible contact applications.

Can I export WhatsApp Web contacts to Excel, CSV or VCard?

Yes. WAContact creates XLSX, CSV and VCard/VCF files. Excel and CSV contain structured columns; VCard focuses on compatible contact name and phone-number data.

What is the difference between All Contacts and Chat List?

All Contacts uses personal-contact records currently available to WhatsApp Web. Chat List uses individual contacts represented in your chats and can include recent-message context when available.

Can I export only WhatsApp Business contacts?

Yes. Choose Business Only under Account Type to include contacts WhatsApp currently identifies as business accounts.

How does the country filter work?

WAContact derives country or region information from each international phone-number prefix. This is a calling-code classification, not a person's live or exact location.

Can I export contacts by WhatsApp label?

Yes. Select labels already available in your WhatsApp account before exporting. The labels narrow the result; they are not promised as a separate output column.

What fields are included in the exported file?

Excel and CSV can include phone number, country code, country, public and saved names, contact, business and blocked status. Chat List can add recent-message fields when available.

Does WAContact upload my contact details?

Contact details and exported files are processed locally for export and are not sent to WAContact analytics. Optional diagnostics are separately disclosed in the Privacy Policy.

Can VCard files be imported into contact applications?

VCF is a widely supported contact format, but import behavior varies. Check the target application's supported VCard version and review the file before importing.
