Important terms summary

Use WAContact lawfully and keep control of your exports

WAContact provides a browser-based export tool. You remain responsible for authorization, lawful use and backups. Paid access is currently a one-time one-month purchase with no automatic renewal, and refund requests are reviewed only in the limited circumstances described below.

01

Acceptance, eligibility and authority

By installing, accessing, purchasing or using WAContact, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be old enough to enter a binding agreement under applicable law. If you use WAContact for a company or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” includes both you and the organization.

02

The WAContact service

WAContact is a Chrome extension for exporting information available in WhatsApp Web. The website focuses on WhatsApp Contact Export, including Excel, CSV and VCard output, source selection and account, country-code and label filters.

The complete extension may also offer chat export, group-member export and, under the applicable Max entitlement, media export from chat history. Available formats, fields, limits and features may depend on your plan, browser, WhatsApp Web data and the current product interface.

03

License and ownership

Subject to these terms, WAContact grants you a limited, personal or internal-business, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable and non-sublicensable license to use the service during the applicable free or paid access period.

WAContact and its licensors retain all rights in the extension, website, software, design, trademarks, documentation and service content. These terms do not transfer ownership. Feedback you voluntarily provide may be used to improve the service without an obligation to compensate you, while your ownership of any underlying content remains unchanged.

04

Lawful use and responsibility for exported data

You are responsible for the WhatsApp account you connect, the export selections you make and every file you create, store, import, share or otherwise use. You must have all permissions, notices, consents and other lawful bases required to process information about contacts, chat participants and group members.

You are also responsible for checking export accuracy, maintaining appropriate backups, protecting downloaded files and complying with privacy, data-protection, marketing, employment, consumer and communications laws that apply to your use. WAContact is a tool and does not provide legal advice or determine whether a particular export or later use is lawful.

05

Prohibited conduct

You may not use WAContact to violate law, another person's rights, WhatsApp rules or these terms. Prohibited conduct includes:

  • Sending spam, unsolicited marketing, harassment, threats, discrimination, fraud, phishing, malware or other abusive or deceptive material.
  • Exporting, using, selling, disclosing or combining personal information without required authority, notice or consent, or infringing privacy, publicity, copyright or other rights.
  • Circumventing quotas, licensing, payment or activation controls; sharing or reselling activation codes; misrepresenting an account; or using unauthorized automation to exploit the service.
  • Interfering with, probing, overloading or attacking the extension, website, payment, activation, telemetry or support systems, or introducing harmful code.
  • Copying, modifying, distributing, renting, sublicensing, decompiling, reverse engineering or attempting to derive source code except where applicable law expressly permits and that permission cannot be waived.

06

WhatsApp and other third-party services

WhatsApp is a third-party platform with its own terms, policies, technical limits and enforcement decisions. You are responsible for following those requirements. WAContact does not control WhatsApp Web availability, data structures, platform changes, account reviews, suspensions or restrictions.

Browser, payment, email and other third-party services may also apply their own terms. A platform change, account restriction or third-party outage may reduce or interrupt functionality and does not by itself mean WAContact breached these terms.

07

Free, Pro and Max access, activation and duration

Free features and quotas are limited as displayed in the extension or pricing page. Paid entitlements, limits, price, currency and duration are those shown at checkout. The current paid offering is a one-time purchase for one month of access. It does not automatically renew and WAContact does not automatically charge you at expiry; continued paid use requires a new purchase.

Pro unlocks the paid export entitlements displayed at purchase. Max includes Pro entitlements and additionally supports media export from chat history where the media is available and the feature is supported. Product descriptions at checkout control if a later offering differs.

An activation code is created for and bound to the WhatsApp account entered before payment. You must verify the country code, account number and email address before checkout. A code ordinarily cannot be moved because you entered an incorrect number, changed accounts or lost access to the bound account.

Prices for future purchases may change. Taxes, exchange-rate differences and payment-provider charges may apply where displayed or required. A price change does not shorten a paid period already purchased.

08

Payments and limited refunds

Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. By confirming checkout, you authorize the single charge shown on the payment page and confirm that the payment information is valid and authorized.

Because paid access is a digital service delivered through activation, a payment is generally final once the service has been correctly delivered and is available for use. WAContact will review a refund request where applicable law requires a refund, a duplicate charge occurred, or a verified delivery or activation failure caused by WAContact cannot be repaired through support.

A change of mind, an incorrectly entered account or email, changing or losing the bound account, a WhatsApp account restriction, violation of platform rules, an unsupported environment, user-created modifications or a failure to use the service during the purchased period does not automatically qualify for a refund.

Submit a review request through the Contact Us page promptly. Include the order email, bound WhatsApp account and sufficient transaction information to locate the purchase. Do not send full card or bank details and do not publicly disclose the activation code. Approval and timing depend on verification, applicable law and the payment provider.

09

Privacy and user content

The Privacy Policy explains how WAContact handles local export content, account state, optional analytics, purchase, activation, feedback and support information. It is incorporated into these terms.

You retain any rights you have in the information you export. You grant WAContact only the limited permissions needed to perform actions you request, operate the service and provide support. You should not provide support with passwords, complete payment credentials, private messages, third-party contact lists or full activation codes.

10

Service changes, availability, suspension and termination

WAContact may maintain, modify, replace or discontinue features to improve reliability, respond to WhatsApp or Chrome changes, protect security or meet legal requirements. We aim to preserve paid functionality during its stated period but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.

WAContact may limit, suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect users or infrastructure, comply with law, address payment fraud or material breach, or discontinue the service. You may stop using the service at any time by removing the extension; removal does not itself create a refund right. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

11

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WAContact is provided “as is” and “as available.” WAContact disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, compatibility, export completeness and results from later use of exported data.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WAContact will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunity or account access arising from the service, third-party platforms or exported files.

WAContact's aggregate liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to WAContact for the affected paid access during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 25 if you paid nothing, except where applicable law does not allow that limitation.

12

Indemnity and dispute resolution

To the extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify and hold WAContact harmless from third-party claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your exported data, unlawful use, violation of these terms or infringement of another person's rights.

Before starting formal proceedings, you and WAContact agree to try in good faith to resolve a dispute through the Contact Us page. These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the WAContact service operator, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and disputes will be brought in a court with lawful jurisdiction unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise. Nothing in this section removes non-waivable consumer rights.

13

Changes to these terms and general provisions

WAContact may update these terms when the service, commercial model or legal requirements change. Revised terms will be posted with a new effective date. Material changes will be communicated where required. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance to the extent allowed by law.

If any provision is unenforceable, it will be adjusted or removed only to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining terms will continue. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these terms without WAContact's consent; WAContact may assign them in connection with a reorganization, service transfer or corporate transaction.

These terms, the Privacy Policy and checkout terms presented for a purchase form the entire agreement about the service and replace prior discussions on that subject. Terms, payment, activation and refund questions must be submitted through the Contact Us page.
